***ATTENTION***

The Newton Police Department is seeking the public’s help regarding an incident of malicious destruction to a motor vehicle.

On Monday August 24th, at approximately 3:19PM on Washington Street in Newtonville, a white male wearing a dark colored bucket hat and a grey T-shirt reading “NEWTONVILLE MA” was captured on camera ripping the door handle off a Tesla.

***ATTENTION***

The Newton Police Department is seeking the public’s help in identifying two suspects related to recent car breaks in the City of Newton.

Pleasant Street, Newton Centre:

The first suspect is described as a younger white male with lower facial hair wearing black pants with a white stripe down the side, a red tank top, a backwards black Yankees baseball hat, and a black and white backpack.

The suspect also appears to have a neck tattoo and is wearing a black brace on his left hand.

The break took place on Pleasant street on August 20th at 11:37PM.

Auburndale area:

The second suspect is described as a younger white male with facial hair above and below his lip, wearing a white baseball hat, white sweatshirt, and dark colored shorts.

A witness stated a man matching a similar description was observed entering a vehicle on Bencliff Circle at approximately 4:00AM.

The car breaks occurred on August 20th beginning at approximately 11:00PM.

🎉 What an incredible National Night Out! 🚔🚒🐾

Thank you to everyone who came out last week and helped make this year’s National Night Out such a huge success! It was great to see so many families, friends, neighbors, and members of our community come together for an evening of fun, food, and community connection.

Events like National Night Out are all about strengthening the relationships between our community and public safety partners, and we couldn’t have asked for a better turnout. We hope everyone had as much fun as we did!
