Why does it matter? Because our communities deserve a voice in the rooms where major decisions are made — on spending, mental health, jobs, energy, child welfare, and the laws affecting everyday life.

I currently serve on:

• Appropriations – Health & Human Services

• Judiciary – Civil

These committees give the 75th District representation across an unusually broad range of issues facing Illinois families and businesses.

We will always stand with small businesses and fight for policies that lower the cost of doing business and creating jobs in Illinois.

Whether it's property taxes, electric bills, or income tax - it's all way too high in Illinois for our working families and small businesses alike. It's time to change that!

WALKER'S BLUFF WINERY - $400K Property Tax Bill

ICYMI: Yesterday morning members of the Illinois Freedom Caucus, with special guest Senator Paul Jacobs, met with the owner of Walker's Bluff Winery and held a press event at the facility. The goal of this event is simple - we MUST get serious about tax reform and operating costs in Illinois.

Property Taxes, Electric Bills, Insurance, you name it - it's all way too high in Illinois. We hope this beautiful facility is able to work with the local government to find a solution. However - we have a responsibility in Springfield to do our part as well.

The Democrats need to get serious about saving small businesses in Illinois.

DIETERICH, IL… State Rep. Adam Niemerg (R-Dieterich) continues his push of HB 2601 to double the exemption on the Illinois inheritance tax to $8 million before any state taxes are collected. The Illinois Exemption is currently at $4 million while the Federal Exemption is $15 million.

Freshman Rep. Amy Briel (Rep Briel) is also accused of pushing pills on her staff, and providing ma*****na in her official office.
