Join the 2026 Summer Reading Bingo Challenge for Adults (18+)! Complete a bingo of 4 squares in any direction and win 1 raffle entry per bingo! Complete the whole sheet and you’ll receive 5 extra entries, for a maximum of 15 entries per person. These tickets can be used to enter our adult summer reading raffle. Prizes will be drawn at the end of the challenge and winners will be contacted.

Starting June 1 through September 4, stop by any of the service desks to pick up a paper bingo sheet, or you can download the PDF version of it on our website. When you are finished, submit your bingo sheet at the 1st floor Ask Desk or via email, and a staff member will tally up your entries.

Join Newton Conversations on Friday, May 15 at 9:15am for a workshop on how to hold meaningful conversations about topics that are important to our community.

Newton Conversations envisions a city where civil discourse thrives and diverse perspectives are met with open minds and thoughtful engagement.

Join us for a small-group introductory dialogue to experience the practice of Reflective Structured Dialogue. Guided by trained community facilitators, participants will engage in a focused, facilitated conversation on an everyday, accessible topic on which people may reasonably hold different perspectives, while sharing and listening with curiosity and respect.

This is an opportunity to experience a different kind of conversation – one designed not for debate or persuasion, but for understanding and connection. No preparation or expertise is required.

Join the City of Newton's Climate Action Coordinator and Green Newton's Energy Advocate on Tuesday, May 12 from 5pm to 7pm for drop-in energy office hours. If you have questions about your energy bills, heating and cooling options, available assistance programs, or electrification, we can provide one-on-one help in a friendly setting. Residents and local businesses can bring their energy bill for an optional review to learn about ways to reduce costs.
