🎉 LeadingAge Massachusetts and LeadingAge Maine & New Hampshire have announced plans to merge!

Together, we have the opportunity to create a stronger regional association serving mission-driven aging services providers across Massachusetts, Maine, New Hampshire, and Vermont.

Built on shared values, strong relationships, and years of successful collaboration, this proposed merger will strengthen advocacy, expand connections and shared learning, and increase support for members across the region, while maintaining the local relationships and state-focused advocacy members count on.

We’re excited about what’s possible together and grateful to the members, board leaders, staff, and partners helping shape this next chapter.

Last week, more than 200 leaders in aging services gathered at the College of the Holy Cross for the 71st LeadingAge Massachusetts Annual Meeting & Achievement Awards Celebration — an inspiring evening honoring excellence, compassion, and innovation across our field.

We were honored to welcome Katie Smith Sloan, President and CEO of LeadingAge, who shared powerful reflections on the state of aging services nationwide and the critical role mission-driven providers play in ensuring quality, dignity, and purpose for older adults.

We were proud to recognize this year’s Achievement Award honorees:
🏅 Volunteer of the Year: Dr. Ann McIntosh, The Loomis Communities
đź’ˇ Innovation & Impact Award: The Navigation Program, North Hill
🌱 Emerging Leader Award: Robin McElligott, The Commons in Lincoln
❤️ Heart & Hands Award: Rabbi Lior Nevo, Jack Satter House

The evening also marked an important leadership transition, as Margaret Mantoni, CEO of The Loomis Communities, was elected Chair of the Board, succeeding Walter Ramos, President & CEO of Rogerson Communities.

We are deeply grateful to our members, partners, and volunteer leaders for their unwavering commitment to advancing quality, dignity, and connection for older adults across the Commonwealth. Together, we continue to strengthen our collective voice and create lasting ripples of impact. 🌊

🌟 The 2025–2026 Leadership Academy has begun!

A heartfelt thank-you to CLA, our exclusive program sponsor, for making this journey possible, and to Steve Colwell, our facilitator, for guiding the cohort with insight and purpose.

We’re also grateful to Brookhaven at Lexington and The Commons in Lincoln for hosting our September sessions. Their hospitality created the perfect setting for thoughtful reflection and meaningful dialogue.

This year’s Academy is all about looking inward to grow outward—building self-awareness, deepening perspective, and strengthening the capacity to lead with clarity and heart. Here’s to the journey ahead. 🌱✨
