Newton Fire Department personnel participated in Advanced Law Enforcement Rapid Response Training this week alongside law enforcement agencies from across the area. Coordinated through Jasper County EMA and held at Community Heights Church, the training focused on strengthening multi-agency response to active shooter incidents. Crews practiced incident management, patient assessment and packaging, and operating within a warm zone environment alongside law enforcement. This kind of hands-on, high-stress training builds the coordinated response capabilities that matter most when it counts.
