Job Type: Full-Time
Wage Range: $20 - $30 (Based on experience)

Job Overview
Our expanding fire protection company is seeking an experienced kitchen fire suppression technician to join our team! The candidate MUST have a minimum of 2 years of direct experience with kitchen fire suppression systems. Experience in fire extinguisher inspection and servicing is a plus but not required. Candidates must have good communication skills, be able to write competent emails, take meticulous notes, and understand/use computers and technology.
Work is full-time. Schedules are somewhat flexible, within reason. Training is provided through hands-on and academic courses, appropriate to candidate experience and preference.

Technician Responsibilities
• Travel to various locations throughout the Wichita Metro area to perform inspections, testing, and maintenance of kitchen fire suppression systems and fire extinguishers.
• Accurately record inspection data electronically and generate detailed reports for kitchen fire suppression systems and fire extinguishers.
• Clearly record deficiencies and the necessary labor and materials needed to correct them.
• Safely use hand tools and power tools.
• Maintain customer relations via phone, text, and emails.
Technician Requirements
• MUST have attention to detail.
• Mechanically inclined.
• Use of computers and technology.
• Good writing skills.
• Good communication skills.
• Self-motivated.
• Responsible.
• Active learner.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Able to perform physical tasks, including lifting and transporting equipment and tools weighing up to 50 pounds.
Experience
• Minimum of 2 years of direct experience with kitchen fire suppression systems (Required).
• Experience with fire extinguisher inspecting and servicing (Preferred).
Education
• High school education or equivalent - (Required).
