The full House and Senate both have their last session day on June 4. Please take a few minutes to take action on these bills.
❌ OPPOSE HB1709: This bill would mandate that landlords and sheriffs conduct immigration enforcement against NH renters.
Urge state lawmakers to focus on real solutions to NH's unaffordable housing crisis, not on harming community members already facing skyrocketing housing costs or eviction.
Use this action alert to send a message directly to your legislator: https://action.aclu.org/send-message/nh-immigrants-rights
Join Kent Street Coalition and other activists at the NH State House (107 N. Main St. Concord) on Thursday, June 4 at 8am-10am, to hold signs and speak directly with legislators.
Bring your own sign or make one there (supplies will be provided!)
❌ OPPOSE SB552 and HB1442: These are anti-transgender bathroom/locker room bills. These bills legalize discrimination based on "biological s*x," erasing inters*x individuals and raising safety concerns.
Urge the governor to veto all anti-transgender bills reaching her desk.
❌ OPPOSE SB434: This is a bill that would allow books, art, films and videos, visual media like drawings and photographs, live performances, dances, guest speakers, and other material to be banned in our public schools. The bill is headed to Governor Ayotte’s desk.
Join the ACLU for a read in against book ban SB434 on June 11 at 11: Read-In to Keep Book Bans Out
Contact the governor and ask her to VETO SB434.
❌ OPPOSE HB1300: This bill would create a state-mandated school tax cap process that undermines local control, weakens New Hampshire's town meeting tradition, and could create confusion and unintended consequences for communities across the state.
Call and/or email your State Representative before the House vote and urge them to VOTE NO on HB 1300.

Please call and/or email your your State Representatives, Senators and the Governor before Thursday and urge them to vote NO on HB751

Bill Watch: An eleventh-hour change has brought us yet another version of an open enrollment bill, this one appearing to be more limited but possibly even more consequential than previous versions.
