Special shout out to those that came to the Adventure/Work day at the Lutze Housebarn on Saturday, June 13. We got the chicken coop/young stock room cleaned and organized. Just need some new signage for items that we finally figured out what they were.
The branches from the recent storms were cleaned up and are ready to be burned when the winds are right. The heritage garden got a good weeding and hoeing. Thanks to the hoes that did the work. (LOL)??
CSI does have at least 4 steel I beams that we would like to give to a good home. Otherwise they will go to B&B Metals. (which is also a good home) One beam is 10 ' one is 18' and there is one in the weeds that is at least 18'. PM me for pick up.
Also: Thank you to Gellings Roofing & Siding LLC for sponsoring the carraige rides and volunteering labor to make the day run smoother.
Thank you to the "Henschel sisters" that have volunteered for food service.
Thank you to Sharon Polk at Red Folder Consulting for sponsoring the cake and cookies.
Thank you to the Cleveland State Bank or sponsoring the porta potties and handwash station.
Still looking for donations for the cheese tasting, the tractor/ carraige rides and the choral group that plans on entertaining us throughout the afternoon.

Ladies and Gentlemen,
Only 54 days until the BIG Lutze Housebarn Birthday Party.
CSI could use a few more volunteers to help with parking (can you wave a stick?) and transportation, (previous tractor driving experience preferred) and food service. (can you handle a tongs and/or large spoon?)
There will be Adventure/work days on the second and fourth Saturdays throughout the summer, to help prepare the grounds for the big event. (10 am- 2: 00pm)
Please volunteer to help out before during OR after to help make sure that the Housebarn will survive for another 175 years.

Thanks to Gellings Roofing and Siding LLC. They are going to sponsor the carriage rides. That is GREAT news.
BUT: we still need some donations to shore up the basement stairs and have a repair the pigeon coop.
The stairs would be $200 and the pigeon coop would be about $150.
We also have a HUGE stump that needs to be removed. That would be $150
ALL donations are appreciated.
CSI is a 501c3 corporation and the donations are deductable.

Ladies and Gentlemen: We are still looking for sponsors for the carriage rides for the 175th Birthday Party for the Housebarn.
The cost is $150 an hour and we would probably need to have the horses there for 4 hours to get people ferried in and ferried back to their vehicles.
Looking for sponsors for an hour OR all 4 hours. We'll have signage for who the sponsors are.
We would also like to have a few volunteers to sit at the parking area for the carriage rides AND for the driveway at the Hosuebarn to assist in parking there.
Only 69 days until the party. Make sure it's on your calendar.
