🚧 Delchester Road Closure 🚧

Dates: Monday, August 17 - Friday, August 21
Times: 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM

Delchester Road will be closed and detoured between Gradyville Road and Route 3 (West Chester Pike) for PennDOT base repairs. During the closure, drivers will be directed to use Gradyville Road, Providence Road, and Route 3 (West Chester Pike). Local access will be maintained at all times. Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling near the work areas or along the detour routes because backups and delays may occur.

It was a HOT night, but everyone who came out to Edgmont Night Out had a great time!

The evening featured music, Kona Ice, games, local organizations, and plenty of opportunities for kids to see the fire trucks, explore the Main Line Health EMS ambulance, check out a Coast Guard Auxiliary patrol boat, and press buttons in Trooper Nguyen's police cruiser.

My kids especially loved using a real fire hose to knock hats off cones in the parking lot and trying the inflatable axe throwing.

A big thank you to Edgmont Township Fire Company No.1 for hosting another wonderful event, and to our friends from Rocky Run Fire Company, Middletown Fire Company, Main Line Health EMS, the Pennsylvania State Police, the Delaware County Department of Emergency Services, and the Coast Guard Auxiliary for helping make the evening such a success.

It was wonderful to see so many first responders, community organizations, and residents spending a summer evening getting to know one another. 🚒

If you've never been to Edgmont Night Out, tonight is the night to check it out!

Stop by the firehouse between 6:00 and 7:30 PM for a fun, family-friendly evening with the people who help make Edgmont such a great place to live, from our volunteer firefighters and Township staff to local organizations and businesses.

There will be games, Kona Ice, giveaways, and plenty of opportunities for kids to explore the fire trucks and other emergency vehicles.

I’ll be wearing two hats tonight, representing the Township and helping out with the Edgmont Township Historical Society. Come say hello!

It was a pleasure to help organize the Edgmont Township Historical Society's Self-Guided Historic Road Tour this weekend.

Despite the rainy weather, dozens of community members came out to explore Edgmont's historic buildings, landscapes, and stories. It was wonderful to see so many people enjoying everything our township has to offer.

After the tour, participants were treated to free water ice and pretzels as part of Edgmont Township's America250 celebration, adding a festive ending to a great day.

A heartfelt thank you to the many volunteers, property owners, community partners, and Edgmont staff members whose time and enthusiasm made both of Saturday's events possible.

One of the things I enjoy most about serving our community is helping bring people together while celebrating what makes Edgmont such a special place. Thank you to everyone who came out and made the day such a success!

Streams Learning Day 2026 was a great success!

Thank you Willistown Conservation Trust, CRC Watersheds, Colonial Pennsylvania Farmstead, and the Edgmont Township staff for making this event possible.

We had a fantastic turnout, and my kids had a blast. They're still talking about finding clam shells in the stream! Thank you to everyone who came out to learn about and celebrate Edgmont's streams and natural resources.

How should Edgmont evolve over the next 10 to 20 years?

Residents are invited to weigh in on the draft 2026 Comprehensive Plan Update at a public workshop on Monday, June 8 at 5:00 p.m.

The Comprehensive Plan is a long-range vision for the Township, outlining how Edgmont can preserve its rural character while guiding future change. It serves as an important tool for Township officials when making decisions about land use, infrastructure, and policy.

Residents are encouraged to attend and share feedback on key topics, including open space preservation, recreation, and carefully planned growth.

Edgmont Township and the Pennsylvania Resources Council are hosting a FREE Backyard Composting Workshop at the Edgmont Township Building on June 16, 6:00-7:00PM. The first 20 people to sign up and attend will receive a free 82-gallon compost bin.
