Two great reasons to visit the Edgmont Community Park on Saturday, June 27!

Kick the morning off with the Edgmont Township Historical Society's self-guided road tour of Edgmont's historic sites, then return from your journey to enjoy free pretzels, water ice, and games at the park with Township staff and officials.

Streams Learning Day 2026 was a great success!

Thank you Willistown Conservation Trust, CRC Watersheds, Colonial Pennsylvania Farmstead, and the Edgmont Township staff for making this event possible.

We had a fantastic turnout, and my kids had a blast. They're still talking about finding clam shells in the stream! Thank you to everyone who came out to learn about and celebrate Edgmont's streams and natural resources.

How should Edgmont evolve over the next 10 to 20 years?

Residents are invited to weigh in on the draft 2026 Comprehensive Plan Update at a public workshop on Monday, June 8 at 5:00 p.m.

The Comprehensive Plan is a long-range vision for the Township, outlining how Edgmont can preserve its rural character while guiding future change. It serves as an important tool for Township officials when making decisions about land use, infrastructure, and policy.

Residents are encouraged to attend and share feedback on key topics, including open space preservation, recreation, and carefully planned growth.

Registration is now open for one of my favorite township events of the year.

Streams Learning Day will be held on June 5 at the Colonial Pennsylvania Farmstead in Ridley Creek State Park. Experts from Willistown Conservation Trust and CRC Watersheds will guide a hands-on, family-friendly exploration of Ridley Creek. Be sure to wear boots and expect to get wet. 💦

It was my pleasure to help organize the Historical Society’s Written On the Earth event at White Horse Village last week.

It can always be a little nerve-wracking waiting to see how many people will show up just before an event begins, but Edgmont far exceeded all expectations. More than 200 people attended to explore the township’s history, from the Lenape and early settlement era, through its farms and mills period, into suburban growth and even the Nike missile site, and ultimately to the vibrant community we know today.

It was SO satisfying to spend a few hours cleaning up Providence Road this morning!

Thank you to everyone who made Edgmont Township’s community cleanup such a success, including Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT), the PA State Police, Edgmont Township, Delaware County, PA staff, Nichols Construction, and our small army of neon-clad volunteers. Together, we picked up enough trash to fill a trailer and made a real difference along one of Edgmont’s busiest roads.

A special shoutout to PennDOT Highway Maintenance Coordinator Marlon Harper and his crew, who coordinated the road closure and collected all the bags of trash along the route.

And thank you to PSP Trooper Jacquette, who not only assisted with the closure but also took the time afterward to walk a VERY curious group of young volunteers through every feature of his patrol vehicle. 🚓

What a perfect way to spend a gorgeous spring morning in Edgmont Township. 🌳
