Edgmont Township is a Township of the Second Class, approximately 9.8 square miles in area and 4,283 residents (Based on 2020 Census data). Its northern boundary is on the Delaware County-Chester County line where it lies adjacent to Westtown and Willistown Townships, Chester County. In Delaware County it is bordered by Thornbury Township on the west, Middletown Township on the south, and Upper Pr

ovidence Township on the southeast. On the east, the Township is bordered by Crum Creek, the Springton Reservoir, and Newtown Township.

Countdown to Community Day, we are just two weeks away! If you haven't already, mark your calendars for...Edgmont Township's 5th Annual Community Day on SUNDAY, September 13th, 2026, at Arasapha Farm from 10 AM - 3 PM. Along with all the activities, performances, food and refreshments, there will be 110 craft vendors selling a wide variety of goods for all your shopping needs! Edgmont Township has been made aware of a scammer using the email address: [email protected].

The scammer is requesting wire transfers for an “Application Approval Fee” and has used the Township’s website to identify current applications. Several applicants have already been targeted with these fraudulent payment requests. Please note that Edgmont Township would never request a wire transfer from its Planning Commission or Board of Supervisors.

If you receive an email requesting payment that appears suspicious or similar to the scam described above, please report it to the Township immediately. If you are ever unsure about the legitimacy of a payment request, please contact our office at 610-459-1662 to verify it before making any payment.

We are looking to fill three vacancies on our County-wide Sustainability Commission! The board works with us and advises County Council on policies and best practices that promote environmental protection, energy efficiency, and sustainable development. ♻🌳🔆

We are looking for two members of the general public with an interest and/or expertise in sustainability (one with term through September 2028 and one with term through September 2029) and one municipal representative representing a municipality within the county (term through September 2029). The deadline to apply is Friday, September 4 and more information can be found at delcopa.gov/clerk/board-vacancies.

🦺🚨🚧 Upcoming Delchester Road Closure:

Dates: Monday, August 17 - Friday, August 21
Times: 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM

Delchester Road will be closed and detoured between Gradyville Road and Route 3 (West Chester Pike) for PennDOT base repairs. During the closure, drivers will be directed to use Gradyville Road, Providence Road, and Route 3 (West Chester Pike). Local access will be maintained at all times. Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling near the work areas or along the detour routes because backups and delays may occur.
