Busy early morning for Hawleyville Volunteer Fire Company

Crews started the day just after midnight with a motor vehicle accident on I-84, initially reported as a rollover. Additional information indicated entrapment requiring extrication, and Newtown Hook & Ladder was added to the assignment.
A few hours later, at approximately 5:43 a.m., members were dispatched to a structure fire, bringing all five Newtown companies and mutual aid tankers from surrounding towns. Shortly after returning to station from the fire, we were dispatched again for a wires-down call.
Thank you to all our mutual aid partners and to our members for their continued dedication.
