Proudly providing quality Fire/Rescue/QRS coverage to Newtown Township and Newtown Borough

10/09/2026

Yesterday afternoon, companies were dispatched for a dwelling fire on Tall Oaks Lane. Newtown Fire Rescue and mutual aid companies responded and encountered a significant fire in a single family residence. Companies made an aggressive initial attack and were eventually pulled out into master stream operations before going back into interior operations. There were no civilians injuries, and the fire is under investigation by our Fire Investigation Division. We would like to thank all of the mutual aid companies that responded to the scene and covered Newtown Township and Borough while we operated.

Newtown Fire Rescue is proud to announce the official swearing in of Firefighter/EMT Anthony Vaccaro and welcome him to our department.

Anthony was born and raised in Easton, Pennsylvania where his passion for the fire service began at an early age. He started his career as a volunteer firefighter before joining the City of Myrtle Beach Fire Department where he gained valuable professional experience serving the community.

Anthony has since returned home to Pennsylvania to be closer to family and brings with him the experience, dedication, and commitment to service that will make him a valuable addition to Newtown Fire Rescue.

We congratulate Firefighter/EMT Vaccaro on his swearing in and look forward to having him serve alongside the men and women of our department.
