Today’s parade is rain or shine. Parking restrictions started at 6:00am and road closures begin at 8:30am. Roads will reopen when it is safe for parade participants and pedestrians.

Friendly reminder that Monday May 25, 2026 is the annual Memorial Day Parade. Please view our post for complete details. And as a friendly reminder:
No Parking goes into effect Monday at 6:00am and road closures begin around 8:30am.

Wednesday, May 20th ~ Streets running North & South (parallel to State Street)

Thursday, May 21st ~ Streets running East & West (parallel to Washington Avenue)

Please remove vehicles from designated streets during those hours.

Note that there is overlap on both days as streets are swept with two pass-throughs.

The Newtown Borough Police Department is asking anyone to return any mislaid property that may have been accidentally picked up near the curb on Liberty Street. Items can be turned in to the Newtown Borough Police station located at 22 Liberty Street.

By returning mislaid property to its rightful owners, we can help build a stronger, more connected community. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated in this effort.
