Big Spring High School

Big Spring High School Big Spring High School educates approximately 850 students in grades 9-12 each year. Our mascot is the Bulldog.

We offer many academic opportunities, including numerous AP, Honors, and Dual Enrollment classes, as well as a wide variety of specialty electives that help students prepare for post-secondary education and future careers. We also offer a variety of extracurricular activities:
~ Mid-Penn athletics: baseball, basketball, bocce ball, cheerleading, cross country, field hockey, football, golf, soccer,

softball, swimming & diving, track & field, volleyball, and wrestling
~ performance ensembles: marching and concert bands, choir, Cantabile, dance team, indoor percussion, indoor guard, musical
~ fine arts: theater club and art club
~ journalism: Waterwheel (yearbook), Paw Print Productions (broadcast and newspaper), and Gears (literary magazine)
~ service organizations: Mini-THON, Club CARE, Tempus, SADD, Dawg Pound, and Key Club
~ professional development organizations: FFA, Student Council, Technology Student Association, and Mock Trial
~ honor societies: NHS, Quill and Scroll (journalism), NAHS (art), NTHS (technology), Mu Alpha Theta (math), Tri-M (music), and Hispanic Honor Society (Spanish)
~ and more special interest clubs

Your STATE CHAMPION Marching Bulldogs! Big Spring brings home the Liberty A 1st place trophy with a score of 94.063 in a field of 16 incredible bands!

Congratulations to our Bulldog Marching Band who brought home gold tonight in the Liberty A Division in the Calvacade of Bands Championships. Well done Bulldogs!

Congratulations to our Bulldog runners who had a great day at States? Maddie Moyer finished 103rd. Gavin Wenger finished 79th. Asher Baker brought home some hardware finishing 22nd. Way to go Bulldogs!

Yesterday, Club CARE sponsored its annual Halloween costume contest for the faculty and staff. Competing in groups or by themselves and ranging from funny to quirky to trendy to creepy, the participants outdid themselves!
