Storytime Alert: Come to the playground on Tuesday (August 25, 2026) for a very special Storytime. If the weather cooperates, we will meet at the Newville playground's gazebo to sing a song (or two), read a truck book and then we will play on the Playground equipment. Miss Connie is so excited about this Storytime because she gets to go down the slide with her munchkins plus maybe ride on a school bus or firetruck driven by her kiddos. So if you want to have fun with Miss Connie at the playground, please come at 10:30 to the gazebo. If you have any questions, please call the John Graham Library at 717-776-5900. Let's have fun and some giggles with the playground!!!!!!!

The John Graham Library's Summer Learning Program concluded on Saturday, August 15th, but the time to pick up weekly Summer Learning Program prizes has been extended 48 hours to 2:00 pm on Monday, August 17th. This is for picking up weekly incentive prizes only; participants ***cannot*** report completed Bingo activities or earn new chances by checking out books.

Tomorrow (Saturday, August 15th) is the final day of the John Graham Library's Summer Reading Challenge! It's the last day to claim your reading goal prizes and to earn chances in the Grand Prize Drawing. Pick up your weekly reading goal prizes at the library. We had an absolutely marvelous time with the drone and the remote controlled airplane that were the Special Visitors at Storytime today. Mr. John brought the drone and Mr. Chris brought the remote controlled airplane. We learned a lot of things about these wonderfully amazing aircrafts!! The drone went about 200 feet above the John Graham Library and flew all around the area. The munchkins were able to see the video of where the drone had flown. Then the kiddos were able to move the controls to the airplane. This was an such a great Storytime event and Miss Connie wants to thank the Carlisle Aeromodelers for coming to her Storytime. This was so fantastic!!!!!!! But I have a feeling that Miss Connie may very well have inspired some Christmas wish list items. Uh-oh!!!!!!!!!!

Storytime Alert: On Tuesday (August 11, 2026), Miss Connie will be having 2 special visitors for Storytime. That's right, 2 special visitors: a drone and a remote controlled airplane!! But why does Miss Connie have a Santa Claus flying a drone for an August Storytime? I guess you will have to come to John Graham Library's Storytime from 10:30-11:30 and find out why Santa is flying a drone. Mr. Barry is excited about seeing the drone too as this is something he has wanted to see for a long time. John Graham Library Storytimes are every Tuesday from 10:30-11:30.
