S.O.S "Survivor Outreach Support"

S.O.S "Survivor Outreach Support" A Faith Based Ministry of Ney Church of God, Assisting Survivors of Human Trafficking, Abuse&Assault.

SOS History
S.O.S was started in the fall of 2023 by Kelly King and the supportive volunteers of Ney Church of God. Director Kelly King, having over 13 years of experience in both the public and private sector of human trafficking advocacy and support, found that there were many service and funding gaps in this work. It was through the experience of these needs that SOS was born. Kelly is a certified life coach, mentor, human trafficking educator and experienced advocate.

The Cocoon is pleased to share that, thanks in part to funding from Wood County Hospital, we can arrange free rides for survivors of sexual assault to and from area medical facilities within a 30 mile radius. Rides are provided by trauma-informed drivers from Ziggy Zooms.

Survivors who need a ride must call The Cocoon’s hotline at 419-373-1730, option 2. An advocate will contact Ziggy Zooms to arrange transportation. This service is available 24/7 to any survivor of sexual assault, including BGSU students, faculty, and staff, as well as community members.
