Last evening at approximately 18:47 hours, Niagara Active was dispatched to 7700 East Britton Drive for multiple callers reporting the house was on fire with one person possibly unaccounted for. 12M7B (Operations Chief) arrived on scene within three minutes of the initial dispatch and confirmed a working fire, with heavy smoke coming from the eaves. By the time a size up was given, and a 360 was completed, we were updated that the unaccounted person was not home and there was no one trapped. Additional resources were immediately requested by 12M7A (Deputy Chief). Niagara Active Engine 2 and Niagara Falls Air Reserve Engine 7 arrived on scene simultaneously. Two 1.75inch attack lines were stretched and an aggressive push inside the structure followed. The incident was deemed under control within an hour and a half. The cause of origin is under investigation but the Niagara County Origin and Cause Unit. We would like to thank all of our mutual aid partners for assistance on the scene and those that handled additional calls that came in during the structure fire.
