The Niagara ROTC Purple Eagle Battalion proudly celebrated an evening recognizing the hard work, leadership, and dedication of our Cadets both in the classroom and throughout ROTC training of the Fall 2025 and Spring 2026 semesters. Congratulations to all Cadets on their academic and military accomplishments this year! Each Cadets commitment to excellence continues to represent the very best of our program.

Cold or warm, Niagara University Army ROTC Cadets continue to train and lead through every condition. During our recent CFTX, Cadets from various schools challenged themselves through platoon STX lanes, land navigation, a gr***de course, tactical movements, and field leadership exercises designed to build confidence, resilience, and teamwork.
No matter the environment, the standard remains the same: lead from the front and never quit. Proud of every Cadet who embraced the challenge and pushed themselves to improve.

Today we introduce CDT Mitchel Hockey from Leroy, New York!

CDT Hockey served as our battalion commander this year. Majoring in Political Science, he joined ROTC because he wanted to serve and lead with a purpose!

CDT Hockey has graduated from Air Assault school and will branch as a Military Intelligence officer on active duty!

Congratulations to our newest Second Lieutenant!

Recently, our program commissioned 2LT Joel Scime as an Active Duty Logistics officer in the United States Army.

Through years of hard work, leadership development, and dedication, 2LT Scime has earned the privilege to lead soldiers and serve our nation.

CDT Krautwurst served as our battalion S3 and also XO this year. Majoring in Political Science, he joined ROTC because he wanted to serve his country!

CDT Krautwurst has attended Air Assault school at Fort Campbell and attended CTLT with A Co, 2-327 Infantry, also at Fort Campbell

CDT Krautwurst will branch as an Infantry officer on active duty!
