Step into Brookside Farm’s past this Sunday!

Brookside Farm will be open for visits on Sunday, August 2, from 1–3 p.m. Living history educator Rebecca Bayreuther Donohue will welcome visitors in period attire and bring Brookside’s history to life through conversation, material culture and hands-on learning.

An East Lyme native with personal ties to Brookside from its years as a working farm, Rebecca has more than 20 years of experience leading first-person living-history programming at Mystic Seaport Museum. She is also a co-founder of the experiential-history collective Dirty Blue Shirts.

A donation of $10 per person is suggested and may be made in advance or at the door.

Stay afterward for live music in the barn with Tom “The Suit” Forst from 4–6 p.m. Tom will bring his smooth vocals, outstanding guitar work, classic favorites and vintage charm to Brookside.

Rebecca will also be at Brookside on August 9, August 16 and September 6. Brookside is open for visits every Sunday from 1–3 p.m. through September 6, including August 23 and 30.
