Essentially, they become “Best Friends.” The result is our participants enjoy meaningful activities and truly fulfilling days. The care and services offered at Best Friends™ Adult Day Center support adults who need assistance with daily living. Participants enjoy the company of peers and meaningful activities within our safe, home-like environment alongside experienced professionals. Participants

Come one, come all—the Carnival came to Best Friends!🎟️🎡🎠

Carnival Week was filled with games, prizes, and a whole lot of fun! We tossed ducks in the pool, hooked rings on cones, knocked down cans, tried our luck at the slot machine, and enjoyed plenty of candy. We even had our very own caricature artist come out to capture some of our friends. The fun kept rolling all week long!

Theater Week was so fun. We had our very own Phantom of the Opera, enjoyed fresh popcorn, put on our own rendition of Goldilocks and the Three Bears, reminisced on our favorite musicals, and played fun “Act It Out” challenges! 🎬

Our Best Friends garden is thriving this year! We’ve been enjoying having our own vegetables during snack time, and we even made coleslaw a few times out of our garden cabbage, carrots, and peppers! More than just “hello” and “goodbye,” aloha represents love, peace, and compassion—and we felt all of those things during Hawaiian Week!

Our week was filled with the beautiful sounds of the ukulele, colorful Hawaiian-inspired crafts, and plenty of hula dancing!🌴

Bill stopped playing the Mandolin when he was diagnosed with dementia. After attending the Day Center, he was inspired by the volunteer musicians and asked if he could play for us too!

Today, Bill plays his Mandolin daily creating joy for those that listen!

Today we honor the birthday of Virginia Bell, the legacy, and the extraordinary impact she continues to have on dementia care around the world.

As the co founder of Best Friend's Approach, Virginia taught us that meaningful connection, friendship, and dignity are at the heart of quality care. Her vision continues to inspire caregivers, families, and communities every day.
