Information regarding upcoming Traffic Safety Checkpoints:

Update: Roadway back open.
Please avoid the area.

UPDATE - our officers have cleared the scene, and all lanes of traffic are now open.

We have responded to a collision on US27 at KY 169.

At this time, all lanes of traffic on US27 are closed at the intersection.

Our Collision Reconstruction Unit is responding to the scene. Expect a prolonged closure of said roadway as the investigation progresses.

We ask that you avoid this area and utilize alternate routes of travel.

Join us today in congratulating our own Jordan Black in realizing his career goal of becoming a Jessamine County Deputy Sheriff.

Jordan started his law enforcement enforcement career as a Sheriff's Explorer and continued with his job as a Jessamine County E911 Telecommunicator for the last 2 years. He has numerous T-CPR "saves" in his career with us.

Jordan, we are very proud of you! Don't forget your time in Dispatch. Remember that we are here to keep you safe and help you make the best of your Law Enforcement Career. He was supported by his shift mates Supervisor John Grimes and Telecommunicators Delaney Epperson, Lindsey Mansur and Mariah David.

He's been located!

**UPDATE** - the Golden Alert is cancelled.

Samuel Morris has been located and is safe.

**GOLDEN ALERT**

We are attempting to locate Samuel “Sammy” Morris.

He is an autistic 26 year old male, and nonverbal. He will respond to his name. He is missing from his residence on Champion Drive, having walked away on foot.

He was last seen wearing a gray shirt and gray shorts, but with bare feet.

If seen, please contact us. Currently, there are numerous emergency personnel involved in an active search.

We encourage anyone with external residential cameras to review their footage, as it appears he walked toward Keeneway Drive.
