Sheriff Grimes is reporting the promotion of Deputy Rivers to Sergeant Rivers. Sergeant Rivers is a valued member of our team as he serves as a Field Training Officer for all incoming recruits and lateral deputies. Sergeant Rivers is always helping where needed from taking bites from our K9’s during training or helping teach at the Citizen’s Sheriff Academy. Congratulations to Sergeant Rivers!

Today, we announce the retirement of Sergeant Wes Casey effective August 1, 2026. Sergeant Casey began his career with Jessamine County Dispatch in 2006 before beginning at the Nicholasville Police Department as an officer in 2008. Sergeant Casey's presence will definitely be missed but we wish him well in his well deserved retirement!

Today, we announce retirement of Deputy Nolan Bruner effective August 1, 2026. Deputy Bruner began his career with the Nicholasville Police Department in 2006 with experience in patrol and narcotics. Deputy Bruner started with JCSO in 2020 and has served in the patrol and narcotics division. His presence will definitely be missed but we wish him well in his well deserved retirement!
