Congratulations to Sydney Clasen on being honored at the 2026 KWCH 12 “Top of the Class” event held May 2 at the Terradyne Country Club!

The annual KWCH 12 “Top of the Class” program recognizes outstanding Kansas high school seniors who go above and beyond in academics, leadership, family, and community involvement throughout their high school careers. Students are nominated by their schools for demonstrating excellence both inside and outside of the classroom.

Sydney was recognized alongside other exceptional seniors from across the state for her hard work, leadership, dedication, and positive impact at Nickerson High School and in our community.

We are incredibly proud of Sydney and all she has accomplished during her time at NHS.

Congratulations to Delaney Childs on being recognized as Nickerson High School’s Governor’s Scholar at the 43rd Annual Governor’s Scholars Awards Program on Sunday, May 3!

Delaney was honored for ranking in the top 1% of her class academically. She joined 527 outstanding seniors from across Kansas who were selected as 2026 Kansas Governor’s Scholars, representing the state's very best academic achievers.
