Join us for a Free Kidney & Diabetes Screening📣

When: Thursday, June 18, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Where: Jackson County Health Department - Back Building

Screenings are available for adults ages 18 and older. Walk-ins are welcome, but pre-registration is encouraged. To pre-register and complete your questionnaire before your appointment, visit mobilescreening.nkfi.org/preregistration.

Screening services include:
• Blood pressure screening
• Blood glucose screening
• HbA1c testing for people with diabetes
• Body Mass Index (BMI)
• Waist circumference measurement
• Urinalysis
• Blood draw, if necessary

Participants will have the opportunity to discuss their results with a health care professional and will receive a copy of their test results the same day.

Just a few days left to clean out old hazardous waste from your basement, garage, or storage areas!

The Jackson County Health Department will host a Household Chemical Collection Event on Saturday, June 6 at the Banterra Center in Carbondale.

This event provides residents with a safe way to dispose of many household hazardous materials. Proper disposal helps prevent harmful chemicals from polluting our environment and protects public health.

Appointments are required. To schedule a drop-off appointment visit jchdonline.org.
