Beginning Monday, October 12 at 10:00 a.m., Sweetwater Drive will be closed across the Sweetwater Dam from Warbler Drive to the Sweetwater Marina.

The closure is expected to last approximately two weeks, but could extend through October 30 depending on weather or unforeseen issues.

Contractors will be performing core sampling of the Sweetwater Dam. This work is necessary for the DNR dam rating process and will also provide our engineering firm with important information to help determine the best solution for the upcoming Sweetwater Spillway project.

Please plan to use an alternate route during the closure. We appreciate everyone’s patience while this important work is completed!

Deer Reduction Hunt Qualification 9/26/2026

Deer Season is approaching quickly!

There will be a mandatory safety orientation and archery proficiency qualification class on Saturday, September 26th, from 10:00am - 12:00pm. This class will take place at the Cordry Sweetwater Fire Department located at 101 Firehouse Dr, Nineveh, IN 46164.

During this meeting we will provide you with all hunt dates, paperwork for both Cordry and CILTI l, we will go over all requirements, rules and we will discuss new changes for the 2026/2027 Deer Season.

Please bring with you your photo ID and State of Indiana Hunting License or a legible photo copy of each.

CSCD ROAD MAINTENANCE NOTICE

Beginning today, a contractor will be performing crack sealing on main roads throughout the Cordry-Sweetwater Conservancy District over the next several days, weather permitting.

Motorists may encounter workers, equipment, and temporary traffic delays while this work is underway. Please slow down, use caution, and give crews plenty of room when traveling through active work areas.

Crack sealing is an important part of our ongoing road maintenance program and helps extend the life of our paved roadways.

Thank you for your patience and cooperation while this work is completed.

UPDATE: The only drive that will have water shut off will be GROUPER DRIVE. Once water service is restored, a 48-hour boil order will be in effect only for residents on Grouper Drive.

*** Water Alert & Boil Order***

Due to a water leak, we need to temporarily shut off water service from the intersection of the south side of Sweetwater Drive and Center Lake Road to the north side of Lion Drive, including all side drives in between.

Water service will be shut off beginning Monday September 21st at 9:00 a.m. and will remain off until repairs are completed. We anticipate water service being restored by approximately 4:00 p.m.

Once water service is restored, a 48-hour boil order will be in effect only for residents within the affected area.

We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience and understanding while these necessary repairs are completed.

Cordry and Sweetwater Lakes need our help! The Ecology Commission is asking the community to help improve lake balance and support long-term fish health by harvesting largemouth bass under 13 inches and releasing all smallmouth bass. This is an important part of the fishery management effort, and community participation can make a real difference
