We were absolutely thrilled to again sponsor a special train trip to historic Hudson, NY, for an incredible group of Niskayuna students!

At NCAP, our mission is all about investing in our youth, building community connections, and providing opportunities for students to learn and grow outside the classroom. From the scenic ride along the river to exploring Hudson’s rich history and vibrant culture, it was a fantastic day of exploration, bonding, and new experiences.

Seeing our local students engage with the world and each other is exactly why we do what we do. We are so proud of these students for representing Niskayuna so beautifully on their travels, and we want to extend a huge thank you to the educators and chaperones who help bring this trip to life year after year!

Your Food Food Pantry Open M, W, F 9-11:30am Open year round on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 9am to 11:30am, our food pantry is the largest source of free, healthy food in Schenectady County. We provide shelf-stable pantry necessities, fresh produce, and limited baby and personal care items...

Thank you to all of our volunteers for making Niska Day 45 one for the books! We couldn’t have done it with you

What a Niska-Day we had!

It takes a village to create a day like Niska-Day and this is (some of) the team behind it!

The 2026 Niska-Day was planned, organized, set up, and brought to life entirely by volunteers. What many people see as one amazing day is actually the result of months of work and thousands of volunteer hours from community members who care deeply about Niskayuna.

From coordinating the parade and festival to organizing vendors, sponsors, entertainment, logistics, setup, cleanup, and everything in between...this committee gives their time simply because they love this community.

To our incredible volunteers: thank you for the energy, dedication, and heart you pour into Niska-Day year after year. We are endlessly grateful for all you do to keep this tradition thriving!
