📢We are excited to share that the process for reading your meters is getting an upgrade! 💡💧

Work has already begun on installing advanced metering infrastructure, or AMI.

AMI will streamline our processes and give our customers information on their usage by the hour, allowing you to monitor, adjust, or address any issues that may be causing higher usage.

Please know that when your meter is upgraded, you will experience a brief outage. You will also receive a door hanger letting you know the work has been done.

Jarad Giddens - Nixa Mayor Declared August as "Purple Heart Month" at the August 25th council meeting.

Before the meeting, City Hall hosted a meet-and-greet with some of our local veterans, inviting them to lead the Pledge of Allegiance and have their photo taken with the council after the proclamation was read.

Here is a section of the proclamation: "The Purple Heart is awarded to members of the United States Armed Forces who have been wounded or killed in combat with a declared enemy of the United States of America; the City of Nixa appreciates the sacrifices our Purple Heart recipients have made in defending our freedoms and believes it is important that we acknowledge them for their courage and show them the support that they have earned."

The City of Nixa Electric Department is hard at work!

Our linemen are some of the first people hitting the town every morning to beat the heat and make repairs. And they are always ready to answer the call after a storm!
