Gonzales County Constable Office Precinct 4 IS PARTNERING WITH TXDOT FOR STATEWIDE "OPERATION SLOW DOWN" TO CRACK DOWN ON SPEEDERS!!

The Constables Office is partnering with TxDOT’s statewide “Operation Slow Down” - a speeding awareness campaign which runs from July 18th - August 2nd.

The Constable Office will be patrolling the areas of State Highway 80 N. and Hwy 87.

This statewide enforcement initiative urges all drivers to slow down and adjust their speed to match road conditions — because lives depend on it.

Speeding is the number one contributing factor in traffic crashes in our state. So, please do your part: Slow down, and obey all traffic laws.

Gonzales County Constable Office Precinct 4 would like to thank the NRA Foundation for their support of local law enforcement's efforts to keep our community safe!

This year the Constable's Office applied for an NRA Foundation Grant. The grant was approved, and the Constable Office was able to purchase duty pistols and training ammo.

We are very appreciative of the generosity displayed by the NRA Foundation!

📢🚨On Thursday, April 2, 2026, at the request of Texas Division of Emergency Management (TDEM), a statewide test of emergency alerting systems will occur between 10am and 12:30pm. As part of this drill, local jurisdictions across Texas may test systems used to notify the public during emergencies. Gonzales County will participate in this test. Because jurisdictions across the region may participate in this test, you may receive more than one test alert on your phone during the testing window.

This will only be a test. No emergency action is required.

Testing helps ensure emergency alert systems function properly and allows agencies to evaluate how alerts are delivered during real emergencies.
