Last week, three of the five members of the Noblesville Police Department K9 Unit competed in the 27th Annual American Working Dog and Vohne Liche Kennels K9 Olympics. They competed against more than 80 K9 teams from across the nation.

Our handlers and their K9 partners had an outstanding showing, demonstrating the hard work and training they put in throughout the year. The following awards were earned:

Ofc. Lohrey & K9 Kornel
• 1st Place – Building Search

Ofc. Munsell & K9 Ago
• 2nd Place – Narcotic Scramble
• 3rd Place – Overall Narcotics

Team Competition – Ofc. Lohrey, Ofc. Munsell & Sgt. Anderson
• 1st Place – Patrol Team Overall
• 2nd Place – Narcotic Team Overall

If you’ve been displaced by recent flooding and storms, help is available. The Indiana Housing & Community Development Authority (IHCDA) is offering disaster assistance for eligible households, including hotel stays up to 30 days or rental assistance for those unable to return home. To get started, call 211 to report your damage — they’ll guide you through the process and connect you with the right support.

Hotel or rental assistance is available only to households affected by the early August storms and living in counties under the disaster declaration. Visit your local resources or call 211 today to learn what option may work best for you.

Our neighbors have faced incredibly difficult days, only to be surrounded by a community that stepped up when they needed it most. So thankful for the opportunity to spend some quality time with these awesome kiddos! They had an unforgettable ride to school in the ARV and the perfect breakfast of donuts and chocolate milk. Their excitement and smiles made the morning extra special, and we are grateful for the chance to create such fun memories with them!
