We lost one of our own much too soon.

Aside from his family, Joshua Flynn cared a lot for his community, one of the primary reasons why he ran for office last year.

He's one of the most charismatic candidates we've had running in Illinois in some time because he would tackle the issues in ways voters could understand, not by talking down at them and ignoring their concerns.

Keep his family and extended family in Liberty in your wishes, thoughts and prayers and we all process this loss that happened way too soon.

Rest in power, my brother in Liberty.

We are so unbelievably sad to share the news that the movement has lost a part of it’s family.

Joshua Flynn was a great man who had the fire of Patrick Henry and the wisdom of Frederick Douglass. He was the first Libertarian Party of Illinois State Representative candidate ever endorsed by the Chicago Tribune and spent his life fighting for his family, friends, and community.

There isn’t a lot to say during a time like this. We lost our friend way before his time. We ask you to please keep Joshua’s family in your thoughts and prayers. Also remember that tomorrow is never promised. Look to great men like Joshua Flynn as an example of how life is meant to be lived and use the time we do have with love and purpose.

Pursuant to a Federal judge order made today in the Northern District of Illinois - Eastern Division in relation to Libertarian Party of Illinois v. Pritzker

Statewide candidates in Illinois are on the ballot automatically without having to collect a single petition signature. This includes Danny Malouf for U.S. Senate, who we already endorsed.

Additionally, all downticket candidates from U.S. House downward will only have to collect 10% of their original minimum threshold.

For example, take our other two endorsed candidates:
Joshua Flynn For State Representative: Joshua will now only have to collect a minimum of 220 signatures.

Jake Leonard for Montgomery County Board District 2: Jake will now only have to collect a minimum of 8 signatures.

It’s official!

Thank you to the people of the Libertarian Party of Illinois for giving me the opportunity to represent you in the 2020 election for U.S. Senate.

It’s time we escape the bipartisan status quo, and for the people of Illinois to choose the only party representing peace, liberty, accountability, self-ownership, and sound economics.

We concur and strongly agree with the decision made by the Libertarian Youth Caucus board of directors regarding Libertarian Party Vice Chairman Arvin Vohra.

It is not just his recent remarks in which the LPMC calls for the removal and/or voting out of Vohra. It stems as far back as early 2017 when he made derogatory remarks about the military, essentially insulting Libertarians who are war veterans, as well as active and retired military personnel.

At this point, this is where we will gladly endorse. Honestly, whether it be Alex Merced, Charles Peralo, Joe Hauptmann, Maxwell Owens or anyone else that emerges, they would be better representative of Libertarian principles than Arvin Vohra.
