Just a heads up. There have been some scam callers spoofing the Nolanville Police Department phone number calling people and stating they have a warrant for their arrest and usually follows up with an officer and a badge number.

Unfortunately these calls have been ongoing throughout the year in areas like Georgetown, Belton and some bigger cities. If you’re ever unsure if the call you are receiving is from the police department, you can hang up and call 911 requesting an officer response in person

The scam trend is using the fear of a warrant being issued for the arrest of the person being called and to “handle the warrant” they would have to withdraw cash and turn it into bitcoin vendor. The Bell County Sheriff’s department has also received reports of these kinds of scam calls.

Y’all are encouraged to report these numbers to the police department. Thanks everyone and stay safe this memorial weekend!
