CITY of NOME NEWS!!!
The City has changed water billing software due to ongoing issues with the previous vendor. You will notice a change in the appearance of your bill this month. One thing in particular is the ease of which you can set up online payment and online billing. We hope you will take advantage of these time saving tools.

The issue with the water plant has been resolved but it will take several hours for water production/supply to return to normal. We ask that customers use water conservatively until tomorrow morning when things should be back to normal. Thank you for your cooperation.

The Lion’s Club would like to start a club in Nome. The key areas of focus
directs its resources toward several global causes to address major challenges facing humanity:

• Vision: Known for its landmark SightFirst program, which combats preventable blindness and provides critical eye health services to underserved populations.

• Disaster Relief: The foundation provides emergency and major catastrophe grants, ensuring local Lions can quickly deliver immediate aid like food, water, and medical supplies to disaster-impacted regions.

• Health and Humanitarian Services: Grants support projects that tackle childhood cancer, address diabetes, reduce global hunger, and promote mental health and well-being.

• Youth Programs: LCIF funds Lions Quest, a comprehensive youth development program that teaches social and emotional learning to children and teens.

How the Foundation Operates
• 100% Impact Model: One hundred percent of all public donations go directly toward funding LCIF grants and programs, with administrative costs covered by the foundation's investments and general LCI revenue.

• Membership: The initial registration fee to join is $35 and $7 a month after that. Please direct message Fran Parent if interested and she will send you an application.

CITY NEWS!!
In preparation for the upcoming cold snap, our water operators will be modifying the water treatment. Customers may notice a chlorine odor in the water. The water will remain safe to drink.
