Patience is necessary when it comes to cereal rye harvest…with many years of experience, here are some helpful tips to remember before getting the combine out.

❎ NO green left on stems
🌾 Seed heads ALL tipped down
🫰 Grain ‘snaps’ when bit into

When you think it’s ready to harvest…go fishing, go on vacation, go to the county fair, anything to keep you out of the field! You’ll thank us later for the easier harvest and better storage.
Have a safe small grain harvest!
