CITY OF NORA SPRINGS TO HOST COMMUNITY KICK-OFF MEETING AND SURVEY FOR COMPREHENSIVE PLAN
The City of Nora Springs invites the public to attend a community input meeting on Tuesday, May 12, 2026 at 5:00 p.m. in the City Council Chambers at City Hall at 45 Hawkeye Avenue. The City has begun the process of developing a new Comprehensive Development Plan, which will establish a guiding vision for the City for the next 20 years. The City encourages all that are able to attend. This is an excellent opportunity to help form the foundation for the community’s future. Input gathered at this meeting will be an important part to develop the contents of the plan.
Additionally, the City is conducting a community survey to gather community input on what is most important to residents. The public, those who live and/or work in Nora Springs, are encouraged to share their opinions, concerns, and desires for the community. The community survey results will be incorporated into the City’s new Comprehensive Development Plan. The Plan will set goals and priorities for economic development, house, parks and open space, infrastructure, land use and development, and city services. The survey can be accessed at:
Survey Link: bit.ly/4u97dPT

For those unable to complete the survey online, printed copies of the survey are available at City Hall and the Public Library. Once completed, paper surveys can be returned to City Hall. The estimated time to complete is 10-15 minutes.
Any questions or comments may be directed to John Robbins at the North Iowa Area Council of Governments at [email protected] or (641) 423-0491 or to Chelsey Wood at City Hall at (641) 749-5315.

City of Nora Springs 🦟🚜

07/22/2026

The City is no longer collecting storm debris placed at the curb.

Please do not place branches, limbs, or other storm materials on the roadside.

Residents must dispose of debris through private hauling, approved drop‑off sites, or other permitted methods.

07/21/2026

To assist with storm cleanup, the City is opening the Waste Water Treatment Plant for storm debris drop‑off. Please note that only branches and trees are permitted.

Dumping any other items will compromise the site and may require us to discontinue this service.
