Crews will complete asphalt paving on Hamner Ave. north and south of the bridge during nighttime work with lane and road closures.

Crews continue working in various locations of the construction area to open both sides of the Mayor Berwin Hanna Bridge on Hamner Ave. in late August and complete construction in Fall 2024.
 
Path to Project Completion: Summer 2024
 
Bridge Work
 
·      Install bridge light fixture
·      Complete bridge joint seal assembly
·      Grind the bridge deck surface
·      Construct the multipurpose bridge trail and connect to the Santa Ana River Trail
 
Roadway Work
 
·      Complete storm water drainage systems, complete median work, complete striping and add signage
·      Install street and bridge lighting
·      Complete landscaping irrigation systems and planting
·      Restore the Santa Ana River and surrounding areas

Please follow the detour for local access. 
 
Please plan for extra travel time and reduce speed in the area. The closure is necessary for crews to complete a waterline relocation in the intersection.
