Today we celebrate the legacy of President Jimmy Carter and honor former First Lady Rosalynn Carter with a new garden at Best Friend Park as part of Gwinnett County Government Jimmy Carter Day celebration.

As tribute, we unveiled a new garden featuring 1946 flowers, representing the year Jimmy and Rosalynn Carter were married.

We’re grateful to help honor the legacy of two remarkable Georgians alongside Chairwoman Nicole Love Hendrickson, Gwinnett Parks and Recreation to celebrate their lasting connection to our community.

Congratulations to Officer K. Reyes of the Gwinnett County Police West Precinct on being named Officer of the Month!

What started as a routine traffic stop led to further investigation and the discovery of illegal narcotics. Officer Reyes’ attention to detail and thorough follow-up helped identify additional evidence and remove it from the community.

Gateway85 congratulates Officer Reyes and thanks him for his professionalism, dedication, and continued service to the district.

20 years of Gateway85!

We’re grateful to Gwinnett County Government and Chairwoman Nicole Love Hendrickson for recognizing Gateway85 Gwinnett CID’s 20th anniversary and celebrating the work we’ve been doing alongside our community partners.

We’re thankful for the partnerships that make this work possible and excited for what’s ahead!

Chairwoman Nicole Love Hendrickson, on behalf of the Board of Commissioners, recently recognized Gateway85 Gwinnett CID's 20th anniversary. They serve as one of our strategic partners, supporting infrastructure enhancement, mobility planning, and economic development for 25 square miles of western Gwinnett.

From major infrastructure updates — including the Jimmy Carter Boulevard Diverging Diamond Interchange that efficiently moves more than 70,000 vehicles daily — to right-of-way maintenance, more than 21 miles of sidewalks, and dozens of pedestrian safety projects, Gateway85 has helped bring quality of life improvements to the people who live, work, and travel through this critical gateway to our community.
