Trades and career programs play a vital role in shaping the future for young people. They provide hands-on experience, valuable skills, and real-world training that prepare our youth for success beyond the classroom. Whether it’s learning a trade like carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, or participating in programs that teach coding, culinary arts, or automotive repair — these opportunities open doors to stable, rewarding careers.
Not every young person wants or needs a traditional four-year degree. Trades and vocational programs offer alternative pathways that build confidence, foster independence, and help young people contribute to their communities right away. By supporting these programs, we invest in a skilled workforce, reduce unemployment, and give our youth the tools they need to thrive.
Let’s continue to encourage and expand trade and career programs — our future depends on it!
Rainy days call for turbine simulator training!
When students can’t get up on the training tower, they still get hands-on experience inside. The simulator gives them the chance to wire systems, run diagnostics, and work on the components that keep wind turbines running!
