Notice:
Weather permitting the DPW Water Division and contractor are scheduled to make water service and main repairs at #64 Boardman St. tomorrow, Wednesday September 2, 2026. Crews are scheduled to mobilize in the morning, but will work to mitigate impacts to school and morning commutes.

Residents may experience reduced water pressure, no water and/or discolored water, as repairs are made. Neighboring water service may be interrupted and roadway detours will be on-going. We apologize for any inconvenience and will make every effort to complete the work as quickly as possible.

Updates will be posted in-kind and we appreciate your patience as repairs are made! For questions or if you experience any issues, please call the DPW at 508-528-4990.

Water Main Repair Update:
Spring St. water service has been restored. Residents may still experience cloudy or discolored water, but we advise residents to let your water run for a few minutes and it should run clear.

DPW Water Division and contractor crews are working to backfill and restore the site and clear the roadway.

We apologize for any inconvenience and will make every effort to complete the work as quickly as possible. We appreciate everyone's patience while the work wraps up!

Water is current being turned off on Spring Street for repair work.
This is for repairs related to last week's water main break. Crews are on site and repairs are underway, but residents may experience reduced water pressure, no water and/or discolored water, as repairs are made. Neighboring water service may be interrupted and roadway detours will be on-going.

Road Construction Update:
Weather permitting, DPW line striping contractor K5 will begin the hand work line striping work starting tonight, Thursday August 27, 2026 with crews mobilizing at 9P working overnight.

Maintenance work is scheduled around town including crossings near the elementary schools and markings near the Police Station. Crossings, stop bars, parking spaces, and speed hump markings on Town center newly paved roads, Liberty Lane, Independence Dr., Main St. from the rail overpass to #108 Main St., Union St. between the two roundabouts, a small section of Rockwood Rd. from the Main St./Union St. roundabout to rail crossing, and Everett St. are scheduled.

DPW staff, police details, and signage will be on site to mitigate traffic, but commuters should take caution. Please call the DPW at 508-528-4990 if you experience any issues or have questions on work happening. Thank you for your continued patience as improvements move forward!

Weather permitting, DPW line striping contractor K5 will begin long line striping work starting tonight, Wednesday August 12, 2026 with crews mobilizing at 9P working overnight. Town center newly paved roads, Liberty Lane, Independence Dr., Main St. from the rail overpass to #108 Main St., Union St. between the two roundabouts, a small section of Rockwood Rd. from the Main St./Union St. roundabout to rail crossing, and Everett St. are scheduled.

Handwork crews once scheduling is confirmed will be happening at a later date and updates will be made in-kind.
