NBG Volunteers

NBG Volunteers Norfolk Botanical Garden is a great place to volunteer. From events, office work to helping beautify the Garden, we have something for everyone!

Volunteers are an invaluable asset to Norfolk Botanical Garden. Traditionally, our volunteers are placed in the following areas:
• an office setting where they process data entry, assist with filing and organizing or other tasks as assigned;
• our Visitor Information Desk where they assist guests by answering general questions about the garden;
• the Gift Shop or Library where they assist guests

with point-of-sales transactions or checking out books;
• the World of Wonders Children’s Garden manning an educational booth or cleaning and preparing classrooms (background check required);
• or assigned to one of our horticulturalists and assist with work in our natural areas, such as spreading mulch, weeding, cleaning plant debris, etc. These are typical activities you’d expect in a world-class botanical museum!
