IMPORTANT UPDATE ON JWLS 2020 From SSLA:
Every year, SSLA prides itself on holding the largest annual professional development event for women in uniform in our country. However, we take the health and safety of our attendees and the guidance and direction from our uniformed and armed services very seriously. After careful consideration, we have decided to postpone the symposium. This decision was made after observing that many services are restricting non-mission essential travel. In order to have maximum participation and ensure your safety and well-being, a delay is the best option for all stakeholders and participants at this time.
Currently, we anticipate holding the symposium sometime in late summer (Aug/Sept 2020) in Norfolk, VA. We will continue to communicate any updates and changes through our social media platforms, assigned Service Liaisons and our website (ww.sealeader.org) For the most up to date information on the coronavirus and for tips to avoid getting sick or spreading illness, visit the Center for Disease Control’s website at https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/index.html.
