Have you read any of these juvenile kit books before? With a companion CD, these books are a great literacy tool for young or confidence-lacking readers, or just for practical learning, as shown with “Children’s Book of Music.” Check out these books, help them circulate more, and let us know if you have any questions.

Spring showers bring summer flowers… in more ways than one! Thank you to local artist, Erika Crofut, with assistance from Autumn, for guiding us in decorating these magnificent flowers and puppet creatures. Our Library lawn has never felt more springy or more festive… just in time for our Greenwoods Puppet Festival this weekend!

This two-hour creative workshop with Cheryl Heller and Natalia Zukerman is an opportunity to discover more about yourself and the place where you live. We’ll practice noticing, reflecting, and writing. Participants will step outside and into nature for inspiration, then translate their observations into writing short flash memoirs that connect the world outside to inner experience. The result will be a renewed sense of creativity and a deepening awareness of how place forms identity.

This workshop is limited to 15 participants. Visit the Library’s website to register and to learn more about Cheryl and Natalia.

For our June gathering, we will focus on Jacque Pepin: French chef, author, and artist. He has authored more than 30 cookbooks. A selection of these are available at the library.
Please register through our website so we can plan accordingly.
Remember to bring your dish ready to serve on a plate in small portions and any needed serving utensils. Bring your own beverage if you’d like. Led by avid cookbook collector Barry Webber, the Cookbook Group meets monthly with each meeting focused on a different cookbook or regional cuisine.

Bina shares three recommendations for new Young Adult books, and shares two other titles she wants to read but hasn’t yet. The books mentioned in the reel are “The Wicked Lies of Habren Faire” by Anna Fiteni, “The Free Verse Society” by Delali Adjoa, “Morgana and Oz” by Miyuli, “Fatham Fall” by Matteo L. Cerilli, and “A Better World is Possible” by Danica Novgorodoff & Meera Subramanian.
Have you read any of these great titles?
