The recent shooting on Harvard Street that occurred during school hours is deeply concerning. Having resided directly across from this area until recently, I am acutely aware that such incidents have become disturbingly frequent. It is truly heartbreaking that students, whose primary focus should be on completing end-of-year assessments and preparing for graduation, must instead be preoccupied with concerns for their safety. Ensuring the protection of our students and staff is a fundamental responsibility that we must uphold. I commend the leadership and staff at Granby High and Elementary schools for following safety protocols.
