Oh….. the new logo is coming! I got a sneak peak! I think you’ll like it!

This week we’re unveiling our new logo, one piece at a time. Yesterday, we talked about relief, the heart of our mission.

Today’s reveal: Teal

Every color tells a story. Teal represents compassion, healing, growth and hope. It’s the calm voice on the other side of the desk. The reassuring presence during a difficult moment. The confidence that comes from knowing someone is in your corner.

For generations, NMCRS has helped active duty and retired Sailors, Marines and their families navigate life’s challenges. Teal reflects the care, understanding, and compassion that guide those interactions every day.

Another piece of our story arrives tomorrow.

⚓️ FUN FACT ⚓️

⚓ Fun Navy Fact ⚓

The U.S. Navy’s iconic bell‑bottom pants are one of the most recognizable uniforms in the military, and they were designed with real life at sea in mind.

The wide legs made it easier for Sailors to roll their pants up while swabbing wet decks or working barefoot onboard ships. Even more impressive, those same trousers could be removed, tied at the legs, and inflated with air to create a makeshift flotation device if a Sailor ever fell overboard.

Over time, bell bottoms became a symbol of Navy tradition and ingenuity, reflecting how Sailors have always found smart, practical solutions using what they had on hand. Navy life blends resilience, creativity, and a healthy respect for the unpredictable nature of the sea. ⚓
