👏 #BravoZulu ⚙ During a recent visit to Naval Weapons Station Yorktown, 𝗣𝗪𝗗 𝗬𝗼𝗿𝗸𝘁𝗼𝘄𝗻 and Cheatham Annex, NAVFAC Atlantic Rear Adm. Lore Aguayo presented a command coin to employees Dewey Ragans and George Colley, as a thank you for their recent hard work. Aguayo was also given a windshield tour and viewed a few construction sites during the visit. #TeamNAVFAC

🔹 PWD Portsmouth ⚙ Natural Resource Manager Hayley Becker and Installation Environmental Program Director Katherine Childs, pose for a photo after receiving the Elizabeth River Project, River Star Business award for their team's habitat management and water saving efforts at St. Julien's Creek Annex. The team planted 20 native trees, installed oyster gardens at the waterfront, and got a new freshwater system installed, which eliminates the need to flush the system, thus saving on average, 10 million gallons of flush water per month. 👏 #BravoZulu.

⚙️ NAVFAC MIDLANT CO Capt. Tres Meek performs a brief inspection during the Bull & Boot Ensign Turnover, Feb. 4, where Lt. j.g. Carly Naud turned over the "Bull" title to Ensign Yue Chen, and Ensign John "JP" Peck turned over the "Boot" title to Ensign Chris Kelly. The Bull Ensign is the senior ensign of a Navy command. Though the position has little formal authority, it serves as the focal point for the command's expression of spirit and pride. The Boot Ensign is the most junior ensign of the command and is "guided" by the Bull. #TeamNAVFAC 🔹️ #BravoZulu

𝗖𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗹 𝗦𝗵𝗶𝗲𝗹𝗱-𝗦𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗱 𝗖𝘂𝗿𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟮 (𝗖𝗦-𝗦𝗖𝟮𝟮) • The annual force protection exercise CS-SC22 will be held Jan. 31 through Feb. 11. the exercise is conducted by Commander U.S. Fleet Forces Command and Commander Navy Installations Command on all Navy installations in the continental U.S. CS-SC22 enhances the training and readiness of Navy security personnel and better prepares Department of the Navy personnel for potential force protection situations. It also establishes a learning environment for security personnel to exercise functional plans and operational capabilities. This exercise is not in response to any specific threat, but is a regularly scheduled exercise. Measures have been taken to minimize disruptions within local communities and to normal base operations, but there may be times when the exercise causes increased traffic around bases or delays in base access. Area residents may also see or hear security activities associated with the exercise. Advanced coordination has taken place with local law enforcement and first responders. As always, “see something, say something” applies, even during an exercise. Report suspicious activity to local law enforcement or local on-base security. For more information on the exercise being conducted in your area, contact your specific Navy installation public affairs.
