The Foundation recently funded the purchase of three essential books for the Hospice department to give to caregivers.

“Grief: What it is and what you can do” by Dr.S.M. Johnson is an introductory into the bereavement journey that covers feelings, issues, loved ones, rituals, and caring for oneself during this time.

Susan Varley’s “Badger’s Parting Gifts” goes to homes with small children, and it gives families a chance to reflect and start conversations about their feelings and experiences.

“Nature Gave Us Butterflies” by Rebecca Wallace explains to families what to expect during the hospice process and relates the loved one’s journey to the transition of a butterfly.

The Foundation is happy to support the Hospice department in providing support and comfort to patients and their loved ones during such a difficult time.

The Foundation recently funded the purchase of a Cardiohelp system for the Cath Lab. The Cardiohelp system is a portable, miniature heart-lung machine. It temporarily takes over the job of a patient’s heart and lungs by pulling blood out of the body, adding oxygen, removing carbon dioxide, and pumping the blood back in. Essentially, it acts as an artificial heart and lungs while allowing the patient's own heart and lungs to rest and recover. The Foundation is happy to support the advancement of technology here at Faith Health.

The Faith Health Foundation Partners in Health Golf Classic was an amazing success! Thank you to this year's incredible sponsors, pin prize donors, vendors, volunteers and golf participants.

Net proceeds for this event totaled $47,163.54 and will go towards the purchase of 12-Lead EKG Machines and Portable Airvo 3 Humidified High Flow Systems, both vital to the Respiratory Therapy department at Faith Health.

Thank you again to all who helped make this year's event one to remember! Congratulations to these Golf Classic winners!

Calling all student groups, cheerleading squads, and sports teams...get your school involved in Hope Heroes 2026 by raising funds for ALL cancer patients in northeast Nebraska. Sell t-shirts, host bake sales, run a split the pot, or even offer special dinner items during the game!

Talk to your school's teachers, administration, athletic directors, and coaches about partnering with the Faith Health Foundation to raise funds for the Hope Fund this October.
