RUT is a land-based training exercise which enables the 22nd MEU to conduct expeditionary operations as a cohesive Marine Air-Ground Task Force, in preparation to integrate with U.S. Navy for future operations.

U.S. Marines with 2nd Combat Readiness Regiment, 2nd Marine Logistics Group, attach a container to a CH-53E super stallion during helicopter support team operations as part of 2nd CRR’s Regimental Field Exercise at Marine Corps Auxiliary Landing Field Bogue, Bogue, North Carolina, Feb. 5, 2025.

2nd CRR conducted the REGFEX to enhance the regiment’s ability to support II Marine Expeditionary Force with logistical support.

U.S. Marines and Sailors with Golf Company, 2nd Battalion, 2nd Marine Regiment respond to a simulated bomb attack during an embassy reinforcement training mission at Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, Feb. 23, 2024.

As the command element of a Marine Air-Ground Task Force, the 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit completed a certification exercise, conducted by Expeditionary Operations Training Group, to prepare for a diverse range of potential future missions, including personnel recovery, embassy reinforcement, foreign humanitarian assistance, and non-combatant evacuation operations.
