Since 1981, the Foodbank, a member of Feeding America™ and the Federation of Virginia Food Banks, has been providing food for hungry people throughout Southeastern Virginia and on the Eastern Shore. In our mission to lead the effort to eliminate hunger in our community, the Foodbank has distributed over 272 million pounds of food equating to over 226.8 million meals throughout our 4,745 square mil

e service area, which includes the cities of Norfolk, Portsmouth, Chesapeake, Suffolk, Franklin and Virginia Beach as well as the counties of Southampton, Northampton, Sussex, Isle of Wight and Accomack. During the 2013-2014 fiscal year, the Foodbank distributed over 18.6 million pounds of food equating to over 15.5 million meals to the community.

Starting September 4, 2026, our Isle of Wight County mobile pantry is moving to a new home at the Isle of Wight County Fairgrounds!

Here’s where you can find our mobile pantries for the month of September! 🧡
**Please note that Isle of Wight Fairgrounds distribution is replacing the Apostolic Faith distribution.**

Help us ensure a safe and equitable distribution:

• Arrive with your trunk empty and ready.

• Stay in your vehicle and keep it in park.

• End phone calls and wait to be called forward.

Distribution dates and times are subject to change. Please check our social media pages for the most current information.

We're bringing back Thursday evening packing shifts, 5:00–7:00 PM at our warehouse.

It's a great after-hours opportunity for youth and families to give back together. It's a perfect for those who can't make it during the school day.

Volunteers help pack bags and boxes that support our feeding programs across the community.
