Norfolk Prisoner Reentry is a unit within the Norfolk Department of Human Services that provides assistance to individuals returning to the Norfolk community following any type of incarceration. Norfolk Prisoner Reentry is a comprehensive, integrated system that coordinates the planning and provision of offender transition and reentry services. Reentry refers to the transition of people who have

been incarcerated in prisons or jails back into the community. Reentry can be a significant challenge for someone returning to the community. The T.E.A.M. consists of numerous professional staff that assist people in securing needed resources to aid in their transition. Our T.E.A.M. staff includes a Family Services Worker and Self-Sufficiency Specialists, in addition to collaboration with our numerous partnering agencies.
