Blast from the (recent) past: ENS Andrew Smith checked in on his way from OCS (Newport, RI) to flight school (Pensacola, FL). A former Rawhide (he was AD1 Smith just a few months ago) and Provider from a previous tour it was great to catch up with him and celebrate his success. What a great representative of our community! We are so proud of him!!!

Awesome day in Boston celebrating our heritage and history with the CPO Selects. We proudly represented our Navy as we ran the Freedom Trail and finished at USS Constitution. It was easy to see why Boston is a “Navy town” with the warm welcome and motivated cheers we had along the way. The professionalism by the crew of Constitution was on full display as we toured. Well done all around!

Thank you to all the Rawhides for the feedback during CO Calls this week. I appreciate the candid conversations on where we can do better and improve as an organization. I hope some of the dialogue and conversations may have sparked the creative ideas on other places we can improve.

I challenge you to continue to root out problems and apply critical thinking on how we can get after those issues. I want to empower leaders at all levels to learn, grow, and challenge the status quo where we need to. Never be afraid to ask the “why”.

Thank you - you all inspire me every day and make it a pleasure to serve with you. It truly is an honor.

It was an honor to host Commander, Naval Air Forces Atlantic this week, Rear Admiral John Meier. The Rawhides proudly showcased our pride and professionalism as we simultaneously flew operational missions and hosted the Admiral. Note the C-2 patch on his shoulder: word on the street is the Admiral wears the platform patch until he flies with someone else 🤔 - we’ll have to do some intel 🥸 and get him over more often so he continues to wear our patch! Way to go Rawhides! I’m proud of what we accomplish every day!
