Team CNRFC: As of this morning 43% of the staff have completed the Annual/Change of Command command climate survey. Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts so we can make CNRFC an even better place to work. For those that have yet to complete it, there are only 6 more days left – your voice is important and needed!! Your responses are 100% anonymous. Admiral Steffen has authorized a 24hr special liberty for service members and 59 minute admin leave for civilians if we reach the 75% participation threshold.

Rear Admiral Michael J. Steffen, Commander, Navy Reserve Forces Command and Deputy Commander, Navy Reserve Force, spoke with Sailors during his inaugural all hands call July 21. RADM Steffen spoke about how lessons from the television show “Ted Lasso” can positively impact leadership, team-building and achieving goals together:

“The great thing about ‘Ted Lasso’ is, through his power of positivity and through his power of believing in people, he builds a team - and then it all kind of comes together,” said Steffen. “The fascinating thing is: the philosophy behind ‘Ted Lasso’ actually fits with the CNO’s ‘Get Real, get Better’ program. One of the things that Ted Lasso says is “Be curious, not judgemental.” And those words are essentially in the ‘Get Real, Get Better’ campaign.”

To watch the entire all-hands video, go to the ‘general’ tab on the CNRF/ CNRFC channel on Flankspeed Teams. Have a great weekend, Shipmates!

The CNRFC change of command/annual command climate survey officially begins today and will be open through August 1, 2022. Look for the survey link in your Navy email inbox. Participation goal is 75% of the command (uniformed and civilian). Share what’s on your mind so we can improve team effectiveness and take better care of one another. As an incentive to take this important survey, Rear Admiral Steffen will authorize a day of special liberty for military members! Have a fun and safe weekend! 🏖⚓️🇺🇸
